The Ottoman Empire lasted For over 500 years and they ended in World War 1 by being on the wrong side of the world. Their major desert is Negev and Jordan is their major river. Also their major export product is citrus fruit. Israels Farmers grow their crops by adding fertilizer to soil and scarce water resources. They also use drip irrigation which is when tubes are to the roots of plants and gets water that drips off the plant.About 80 percent of Israels 6 million people are Jews, the rest are Palestinian. Palestinians believe that the land Israel occupies is there home land. Israel was founded in 1948. Israels government is known for a true Democracy in the region. Since 1948 Israel fought against 4 countries and won. Muslims believed that Harem Al-Sharif in Jerusalem is special because they believe that Muhammad the last and greatest prophet of Islams rose to heaven from that rock which they call sacred.
